Robomow Automated Lawn Mower System
Robomow – it mows, you don’t.
Are you tired of mowing your lawn? Would you rather be doing something else? If you feel mowing your lawn is a chore you
now have an alternative. Robomow – the automatic mower that mows without you.
What is Robomow?
Robomow is the ultimate in mowing convenience. An automatic lawn mower, designed to mow your lawns completely by itself.

Why should I buy Robomow?
Five reasons why you should buy Robomow:
- Sit back and relax while Robomow mows
- Get on with other jobs in the garden
- No need to collect clippings
- Perfect for older people
- Battery operation means quiet mowing
Will Robomow suit my garden?
A wide range of Robomow is available to suit lawns up to 2000m2 in area. Obstacles such as trees, ponds or flower beds
can be easily accommodated so that the Robomow knows to mow up to the edge of these objects but not to mow over them. Robomow
cuts right up to the lawn edges, the only robotic mower to do this due to the clever arrangement of cutting blades.
Robomow can deal with slopes. If you can easily mow the slope with a normal mower, then Robomow should have no problem.
Robomow for new lawns
Robomow is great for newly turfed lawns. As soon as you’ve finished turfing, lay the perimeter wire around the edge
of the lawn, and set Robomow to work. Without Robomow you would have to wait until the grass has rooted before mowing
with a normal mower. This could take several weeks, by which time the grass is several inches long.
Is Robomow safe?
The mowing blades are completely out of sight, under the top cover.
Robomow is surrounded by 360 degrees of sensors and so if anything, or anyone, gets in the way the Robomow
instantly stops and finds another route. If the Robomow is picked up the blade stops immediately. Child locks prevent
any other accidents. Robomow is durable in all weather and is UV protected.
Will Robomow keep my lawn healthy?
The secret to a great lawn is frequent mowing. Robomow does that for you. Each time it mows your lawn it cuts
off a short length of grass which it drops back into the lawn. It’s called mulching. In this way nutrients are returned
to the soil, and you’ll find yourself using less fertiliser as a result.
Mulching saves you having to collect grass clippings. For those of you who have to bag them up and take them to
a tip that’s good news.
I won’t be able to set up Robomow….will I?
Robomow requires just a single one-time set-up that can easily be done by the homeowner. Simply, a wire is secured
around the garden with pegs. The wire is then connected to the base station or a small power pack called a perimeter
switch. Once installed Robomow will be able to sense the perimeter wire and will always stay within it. Over a period
of 2-3 weeks the wire will be drawn into the grass and the only one who will know where the wire is, will be Robomow.
All components required to set up the Robomow are supplied in the same box, along with a comprehensive instruction manual
and DVD. Furthermore all maintenance of the Robomow can be done without tools. Blades simply ‘click on’ and height
changes are made by simple adjustments to the wheels.
How does Robomow know when to mow?
The Robomow RL1000 and RM400 both come with base stations and hence provide the ultimate solution in lawn
maintenance. An adjustable weekly program of mowing can be simply entered into the Robomow and no further input need
be made. The Robomow will leave the base station and cut the grass at the scheduled time, this can even be at night as
the Robomow is so quiet. After completing the mowing the Robomow will return to the base station where it will recharge
itself and wait for the next scheduled appointment. If it has rained the Robomow’s rain sensor will stop the Robomow
from cutting until the rain has passed and the moisture has reached an acceptable level.
The RM200 and RL550 both come without base stations and need putting out on the lawn before each mowing. Initiating the
automatic mowing is done simply by pressing the ‘GO’ button - mowing has never been this easy. The RL550 comes with an
inbuilt remote and so can be driven manually to the lawn by the owner before automatically mowing. This feature is
also available as an additional accessory with the RM200. The remote control allows for mowing of small areas or
pathways that have not been included in the perimeter wire.
Will the Robomow cover the whole garden?
By pressing the ‘GO’ button Robomow will set off cutting the outside of the lawn around the full perimeter wire
before continuing with the lawn itself. Robomow is the only automated mower with an inbuilt compass. This means that
it does not use random algorithms to cover the lawn. Instead it runs up and down the lawn from one-side to the other
at differing angles each time. This way the lawn gets completely covered and will always appear freshly cut.
Robomow is capable of mowing all season, including the first mow of the season when the grass is slightly longer. You
will, literally, no-longer need your old mower.
Which Robomow is right for me?
The Robomow you choose really depends on the size of your garden and whether you want a base station or not.
The RM series is for smaller gardens. The RM200 will mow up to 250sq.m and the RM400 will mow up to 400sq.m.
The RL series covers larger gardens and is also described as the ‘Heavy Duty’ range. The RL550 will mow up to 600sq.m whilst
the RL1000 will mow up to 2000sq.m.
The RM400 and RL1000 come with base stations meaning that they are truly automatic and are capable of setting
off mowing and returning to the base station to by themselves.
